* Only use the quadratic formula when equation is set to zero and you're an able to factor normally.




Reminders:
-If the question is an expression (has not equal sign), you are not solving for an 'x' value
However, if the question is an equation (has an equal sign, ie; =0), you are solving for values of 'x'

-When factoring in the ax2 + bx + c the two numbers must multiply to give the same value as 'a' multiplied by 'c' (ie. ac) and add to give the same value as 'b'; including the associated signs (+/-)
